Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Warehouse Cargo Handler at DFW Airport to receive, store, build up and breakdown pallets and freight. You will follow safety policies, operate equipment, and perform accurate counting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include reading manifests, moving freight, and distributing items to locations, with a focus on accuracy and safety throughout daily operations. High school or equivalent and ability to lift 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Ability to pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
• All hires undergo and pass security clearances (10-year criminal background check), 5 years employment/educational verification, drug screen and physical test.

• Reads air waybill, bills of landing, or freight manifest to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or transporter.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to other locations.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers for break down. Records count of items received or distributed.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to air waybill.
• Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs.

Role Purpose

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Cargo Warehouse Handling team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, building up Pallets , braking down , and distributing freight while practicing all Company’s Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to: wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures, or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
