Job summary

Circle of Life Hospice in Northwest Arkansas is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide companionship and non-medical support. You will choose assignments and coverage areas, with a weekend differential for hours 7pm Friday through 7am Monday, and a starting pay of $16.50/hour.

Benefits include education assistance up to $2,500 annually, support for PCA/CNA certifications, paid time off for full-time and part-time employees, mileage and drive time reimbursement, and comprehensive health

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Demonstrates compassion and rapport-building with clients.
• Must have valid and current driver's license or reliable transportation.
• Able to meet pre-employment screening criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and sitting with clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and other ADL's.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Assist with meals and light housekeeping.
• Support clients with recreation and adaptive activities.
• Provide medication reminders (as directed).
• Other duties as assigned.

Caregiver Qualifications

Prior caregiving experience preferred. Demonstrates compassion and an ability to build rapport with clients. Able to work independently and demonstrate dependable work habits. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must have valid and current driver's license or the ability to access reliable transportation. Able to meet pre-employment screening criteria.

Specific Duties May Include

• Companionship and sitting.
• Assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and other ADL's.
• Transportation and assistance to appointments.
• Errand running and transportation to events.
• Meal preparation
• Assisting with light housekeeping
• Assisting with recreational tasks such as crafting, letter writing, exercising etc.
• Medication reminders
• Other duties as assigned.
