Senior Helpers of Greater Chicago is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients across the Chicagoland area. We welcome applicants with or without caregiving experience and offer on-the-job training to help you grow in the care industry.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• On-the-job training provided for new caregivers.
• Reliable, empathetic, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, personal care and emotional support.
• Build positive relationships with clients and engage in conversations and activities they enjoy.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands as needed.
• Provide care as detailed in each care plan.
• Remain calm and communicate promptly with the office about client changes or emergencies.
• Collaborate with the office and care team to ensure consistent client support.

Qualifications:

• You must be at least 18 years old (required)
• Prior caregiving experience is preferred, but we are proud to offer you on-the-job training
• Ability to be reliable, empathetic, and flexible (preferred)
• Willingness to learn and adapt (preferred)
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• With a negative Tuberculosis Test

Responsibilities:

• Assist your client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned, including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, personal care, and physical and emotional support
• Build a positive relationship with your client by taking part in engaging conversations and participating in your client’s favorite hobbies
• Be able to perform light housekeeping, cook, and run errands as needed
• Provide individualized care as detailed in a care plan
• Have the ability to remain calm and collected during emergencies
• Be able to communicate with the office regarding any client changes to the office
