Job summary

Alliance Home Care is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Caregiver to provide essential support with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship. Daily tasks include hygiene, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring clients.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and support with prescribed exercises.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Monitor changes in health or behavior and report to appropriate personnel.
• Respect client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Adhere to safety and health guidelines for a safe work environment.
