Job summary

Assisted Living Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to join our in-home elder care team in full-time roles. We are a family-owned home care agency serving clients since 1996. The role includes ADL assistance, companionship, mobility support, and medication reminders in clients' homes.

Preferred availability includes Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday shifts, with flexible hours. Training and PPE are provided to ensure safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a home care or healthcare setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Car Insurance (Required).
• Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services (meals, laundry, light housework).
• Provide companionship and engage client in conversation.
• Assist with mobility issues and transferring in/out of bed or wheelchair.
• Remind client to take medications.
• Support personal hygiene (dental care, bathing, toileting).
• Change bed linens regularly and assist with daily activities as needed.
• Provide a caring, positive presence and respond quickly in emergencies.

We are currently seeking compassionate, highly skilled, and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to care for our Clients and to serve as part of our growing home care team. This is a full time role in which we prefer the following availability Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday from 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am but hours can be flexible.

Our Personal Care Assistants (PCA) provide our clients with assistance in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). We hire caregivers that have received specialized training through CNA, HHA, PCA programs. In this demanding but highly rewarding role, you will work with our clients to support their physical or mental challenges in their everyday lives so they can remain in their homes. You will focus on helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document client progress, either written, electronically or verbally, to help ensure their overall well-being.

Pay Range

$16.94-$22.00/hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services (i.e. meal prep, laundry, light housework)
• Provide companionship and engage in conversation with the client
• Assist with mobility issues, helping client get in and out of bed, wheelchair, etc.
• Remind client to take medications
• Help with personal hygiene (i.e. brushing teeth, toileting, bathing)
• Change bed linens regularly
• Assist with all daily activities, based on clients limitations and needs
• Provide a caring and positive presence for the client
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements and Qualifications
