Job summary

HomeWell Care Services of Chattanooga is seeking an experienced Lead Caregiver / Care Manager to join our team. You will train and support caregivers, assist with recruiting, and help maintain quality care in the community.

In this role, you’ll lead by example, coordinate scheduling, address coverage needs, and ensure clients receive reliable, compassionate care. The position offers flexible part‑time hours and opportunities to grow within a nationwide HomeWell network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in home care or related field.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and other professionals.
• Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative.
• A positive attitude and professional appearance.
• A genuine passion for helping people maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life at home.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet company hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach non-medical caregivers on client care expectations, company procedures, and best practices.
• Serve as a resource and positive role model for caregivers.
• Help ensure caregivers understand and consistently follow client care plans and company expectations.
• Provide feedback and support to caregivers in the field.
• Assist with recruiting and identifying qualified caregivers.
• Help with caregiver interviews, orientations, and onboarding.
• Represent HomeWell professionally when interacting with prospective and current caregivers.
• Help address caregiver call-outs, coverage issues, and last-minute scheduling needs.
• Be willing to pick up open or missed shifts when necessary.
• Support clients and families by helping ensure reliable, consistent care.
• Communicate effectively with the care team regarding client and caregiver needs.
