Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Social Work Program Coordinator for the Caregiver Support Program (PCAFC). You will develop and implement PCAFC initiatives, educate caregivers and staff, and collaborate across medical centers to improve caregiver and Veteran outcomes.

Strong program coordination and leadership are essential. Qualifications include an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, state licensure at the advanced practice level, and 1+ year experience at the GS-11 level.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship
• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program
• Licensure as a social worker at the advanced practice level
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• One year of experience equivalent to GS-11 level
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities in program administration, policy writing, and staff supervision

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements PCAFC specific to area of assignment and ensures compliance with CSP initiatives
• Administers information and analytical systems to evaluate caregiver and veteran services
• Tracks service activities: visits, referrals, demographics, equipment, and satisfaction
• Develops clinical guidelines and protocols for appropriate service utilization
• Provides caregiver and Veteran education and staff training
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to address caregiver issues
• Facilitates caregiver support groups and distributes educational materials
• Maintains liaison with VA and community agencies to support caregiver needs
