Job summary

Children’s Institute, Inc. seeks a caregiver-focused role to support children’s healthy development. The position collaborates with parents to connect families with community resources and maintains program records.

Qualifications include lived experience with child welfare or related systems, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to travel extensively. Strong communication and privacy diligence are essential.

Qualifications

  • Personal experience with their own child in the child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice systems.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (>50% of the time).
  • Bilingual Spanish & English preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and PHI appropriately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with parents and caregivers to help them learn to provide support for children’s healthy social and emotional development.
  • Serve as a point of contact for caregivers to learn about CII resources and community programs.
  • Maintain a resource directory for CII and community resources.
  • Encourage caregiver participation in group life skills sessions and training.
  • Maintain case notes and other records as required.
