Job summary

Children’s Institute (CII) seeks an in-home visitation specialist to collaborate with families, develop IFSP-based goals, and provide education, support, and referrals in the home environment. The role involves culturally informed practice, documentation, and ongoing family engagement to strengthen child development and family wellbeing.

Applicants should have a year of relevant experience, an associate degree in a related field, and be prepared for travel.

Qualifications

• 1 year of home visitation, early childhood services, or community-based programs experience.
• Associate degree in early childhood education, social work, psychology, childhood development, or related field required.
• BA in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• For Early Head Start Home Visitors only: 12 units of ECE/CD core courses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with parents to develop and implement an IFSP-based family plan and monthly goals.
• Provides in-home education, support and resources to families.
• Maintains case notes and periodic reports.
• Meets productivity standards and maintains caseload to reach weekly client contact goals.
• Assists families in developing self-sufficiency and plans for continuity of care.
