Job summary

Children's Institute in Los Angeles is seeking a role focused on direct caregiver support and resource navigation. This position emphasizes working with families to optimize children's social and emotional development and connecting caregivers with local services.

Responsibilities include maintaining case notes, facilitating group sessions, and ensuring privacy and confidentiality while engaging with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Requires personal experience with their own child in the child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice system.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with parents and caregivers to help them learn to provide support for children’s healthy social and emotional development.
• Serves as a contact for caregivers to learn about community resources benefiting children and families.
• Maintains a resource directory for CII and other programs.
• Encourages caregiver participation in group life skills sessions and related trainings.
• Keeps appropriate case notes and records as required.
• Assists caregivers to resolve family grievances and navigate services within their community.
