Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Sunland Park/Las Cruces area is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care for seniors and adults needing assistance. You will assist with daily living activities, companionship, and help maintain independence in the home.

The role offers flexible scheduling, bi-weekly pay, ongoing training, and benefits including health, vision, dental, and retirement options; weekend availability is a plus. Training completes upon joining the team.

Qualifications

• 21 Years of Age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience is geriatrics or similar caregiving roles preferred.
• Dependable cell phone and service
• Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel to client homes
• Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Ability to pass background checks and work-related references
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• A passion for the job and genuine desire to help others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet client needs, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Develop meaningful relationships with clients to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding client needs.
• Provides transportation to doctor’s appointments, beauty shops, etc
• Participate in ongoing training to improve caregiving skills.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety.
• Document client progress and report any changes to management.
• Be able to work weekends.

Must satisfactorily complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and document services provided.
