Job summary

Foxdale, a Colony Court Senior Living community, is seeking an experienced Caregiver Shift Lead for full-time evening hours (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). The role includes supervising staff, orienting new hires, and ensuring high-quality resident care in a family‑owned setting.

Qualifications include a MN CNA (or agency training) and 2+ years in assisted living or memory care. Benefits include health/dental/vision and retirement options, with weekend shifts and rotating holidays.

• MN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of agency training.
• 2+ years of experience in assisted living/long-term care/mmemory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and train new hires, assist with scheduling and on-call coverage, enforce attendance policies.
• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, ambulation, transfers, meals and comfort.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform delegated treatments, collect samples and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain supplies and weekly orders, prepare medication documentation, ensure equipment sterilization and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality resident care and staff development.

What You'll Do:

• Support staff operations by orienting and training new hires, assisting with scheduling and on-call coverage, and enforcing attendance policies.
• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, ambulation, transfers, meals, and overall comfort and support.
• Administer medications, monitor and record vital signs, perform delegated treatments, collect samples, and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
• Maintain resident and facility supplies and weekly orders, prepare medication and appointment documentation, and ensure proper equipment sterilization and infection control practices, including COVID-19 testing as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and team members to support quality resident care, staff development, mandatory trainings, and ongoing communication across departments.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Good standing, active MN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or successful completion of agency-provided training
• 2+ years of prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care setting preferred
• Shift lead or supervisory experience required
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience with older adults preferred
