Job summary

The Woodmark at Uptown, part of Senior Lifestyle, seeks a Lead Care Associate for Assisted Living (AL) to provide direct resident care and support the department manager with training and care planning. Do you have HEART? We are looking for individuals who can embrace our mission to purposely brighten and enrich the lives of those we serve with HEART; Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork.This position is responsible forproviding assistance to residents in Assisted Living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position supports the department manager with training of new staff and care management planning.

Manager On Duty Position (Weekend = 32 Hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Flexible)

• Provide assistance and leadership with medication (per state regulations), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Upon direction of the Health and Wellness Director, coordinate and conduct training of new staff members and assist all team members.
• Meet on a regular basis with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
• Serve as the staff and family resource when the director is unavailable or away from the building.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform the Directors of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lead Caregiver / MedTech experience
Years of Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred
Type of Experience: Senior care or related field
Special Certifications: May require a CNA or CHHA licensure or other state required training
Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
