Job summary

Colony Court Senior Living in Minnesota is hiring a Caregiver Shift Lead for full-time evening coverage (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). You will orient and train staff, coordinate scheduling, and supervise attendance while assisting residents with daily activities and medications under nursing oversight.

The role requires a MN CNA (or equivalent agency training) and 2+ years in assisted living or memory care, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active MN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing, or successful completion of agency-provided training.
• 2+ years of prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care setting preferred.
• Shift lead or supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support staff operations by orienting and training new hires, assisting with scheduling and on-call coverage, and enforcing attendance policies.
• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, ambulation, transfers, meals, and overall comfort and support.
• Administer medications, monitor and record vital signs, perform delegated treatments, collect samples, and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
• Maintain resident and facility supplies and weekly orders, prepare medication and appointment documentation, and ensure proper equipment sterilization and infection control practices, including COVID-19 testing as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and team members to support quality resident care, staff development, mandatory trainings, and ongoing communication across departments.
