Job summary

ComForCare Home Care in the Berkeley area is seeking compassionate caregivers to support an individual in daily living activities. The role includes companionship, basic household assistance, and ensuring safety during routine tasks in a home setting.

Shifts are available part-time and full-time, including evenings and weekends. Candidates should have a genuine caring attitude, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaking required.
• Prior caregiving work or CNA experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Comfort with wheelchair transfers and ADLs.
• Ability to provide patient companionship and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist wheelchair-dependent client with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist transfers using gait belt or lifting devices as trained.
• Manage household tasks and errands as needed.
• Provide companionship and supportive presence.
• Offer care during part-time or full-time shifts (evenings/weekends).

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting wheelchair-dependent young adult male with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
• Tranfer useing gait belt or hoyer lift
• Properly manage household needs
• Provide companionship
• Available shifts: We are hiring multiple caregivers for both part-time and full-time, choose from Monday-Sunday either 4pm-11pm or 11pm-9am

What we’re looking for:

• A genuine caring attitude and understanding of the client/children needs and emotions.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Access to reliable transportation
• Previous experience caregiving or as a CNA
• Experience with transfers and careing for patients in wheelchairs
