Job summary

Griswold Home Care for Howard County is hiring part-time caregivers to provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking services to older adults across Howard County, Maryland. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits in a caregiver-focused team.

Ideal candidates are reliable, compassionate, and capable of traveling within Howard County. CNA certification helps, CPR is required, TB clearance is needed, and a background check is mandatory.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification is required
• CNA certification is a plus but not required
• TB Clearance per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations
• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration required
• Willingness to travel throughout Howard County
• Must pass a criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Grocery shopping and driving clients to appointments
• Support clients with dementia and memory care needs
• Keep families and office updated with regular care notes

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Helping clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting

Who We're Looking For

• A caring, reliable, and responsible person ready to make a real impact
• CNA certification is a plus, but not required

• At least ONE year of caregiving or home care experience preferred
• Comfortable working in pet-friendly homes, including cats and dogs
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration required
• Willingness to travel throughout Howard County
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED preferred
