Job summary

Synergy HomeCare of Southeast Texas is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care across Southeast Texas. The role welcomes those with personal or professional caregiving experience who are passionate about helping others live safely and independently at home.

The position offers full-time night shifts with pay ranging from $11.00 to $15.00 per hour, requiring a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 months of caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of personal or professional caregiving experience.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, patient, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and support in the client's home.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, and activities.
• Support mental alertness with engaging, client-centered activities.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, linens, basic cleaning).
• Prepare and serve meals and clean the kitchen afterward.
• Assist with grooming and dressing.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and walks.
• Provide medication reminders for self-administered medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to a supervisor.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
• Complete accurate documentation of care provided.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and care discussions.
• Follow all safety, confidentiality, and company policies.
