Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Southeast Texas is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home care throughout Southeast Texas. You’ll help clients live safely and independently at home with companionship, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation support.

Requirements include at least 6 months of caregiving experience, a valid Texas driver’s license with insurance, and reliable transportation. Competitive pay up to $15/hour; every other weekend, 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm).

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of personal or professional caregiving experience.
• Reliable transportation to client homes.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, patient, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and support in the client’s home.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, and activities.
• Support mental alertness with client-centered activities.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, linens, basic cleaning).
• Prepare and serve meals and clean the kitchen afterward.
• Assist with grooming and dressing.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and walks.
• Provide medication reminders for self-administered medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to a supervisor.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
• Complete accurate documentation of care provided.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and care discussions.
• Follow all safety, confidentiality, and company policies.
