Job summary

The Chateau of Long Beach, part of TruCare Community, seeks a Caregiver/Med Tech for PM or NOC shifts in Long Beach, CA. This full-time role offers caring duties, medication administration, and a chance to support elderly residents in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation starts at $17–$19 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus for new hires. Training is provided; prior caregiving or medical administration experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Pass DOJ FBI live scan background clearance mandated by licensing.
• Pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the basic needs of a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents in accordance with Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
• Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
• Monitor resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and/or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure residents stay stress-free by coordinating with medical professionals on pain reduction and engagement.
• Maintain composure during emergencies and ensure a safe work environment.
