Job summary

Woodholme Manor is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our residential care team in Pikesville, MD. The role combines direct resident care with safe medication administration, ensuring a warm, safe home environment for seniors during daytime hours.

Responsibilities include medication administration, ADLs assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CMT or Med Tech license.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Experience in assisted living or residential care preferred.

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (36 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive Caregiver / Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our residential care team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, hands‑on personal care to our residents while ensuring safe and accurate medication administration. The ideal candidate is a dedicated caregiver who takes pride in creating a warm, safe, and supportive home environment for seniors during our daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Safely prepare, administer, and document resident medications according to physician orders and state regulations. Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR).
• Direct Resident Care: Assist residents with daily activities (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, and mobility assistance.
• Meal Preparation: Cook and serve nutritious, appetizing meals and snacks for residents, adhering to any specific dietary restrictions.
• Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and tidying of common areas and resident rooms.
• Resident Engagement: Support and participate in daily social, physical, or creative activities to enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certifications:
  • Valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) or Med Tech license required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience: Prior caregiving or medication technician experience in an assisted living facility or residential group home preferred.
• Skills: Strong basic cooking skills and ability to manage daily household tasks.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and assist residents with transfers during a 12‑hour shift.
• Attributes: Exceptional patience, empathy, reliability, and strong verbal communication skills.
• Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
