Job summary

Charter Senior Living in Pikesville, MD is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician / Med Tech to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. The role includes medication administration, ADL assistance, and collaboration with nursing staff to uphold care plans and safety.

Starting pay between $19 and $21 per hour, with flexible scheduling and paid training. This position emphasizes dignity, independence, and quality of life for seniors, within a supportive team

Qualifications

• Active CMT certification required by Maryland regulations
• Ability to administer medications under RN delegation per Maryland rules
• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Medication Technician / Med Tech plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellness, and quality of life of residents within our Assisted Living and/or Memory Care communities.

This position is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication administration and management, implementation of resident care plans, clinical documentation, and communication with nursing and caregiving teams.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, dependable, and passionate about serving seniors with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and company policies
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation
• Support implementation of individualized resident care plans
• Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Ensure compliance with medication management and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Current Medication Technician / Med Tech certification as required by state regulations
• Previous assisted living, memory care, or senior living experience preferred
• CNA, caregiver, or direct care experience preferred
