• Direct Resident Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Meal Preparation: Plan and cook nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, sanitized living environment; perform laundry and tidy common areas.
• Engagement: Encourage daily recreational or social activities to promote well-being and cognitive health.

Job Title: Assisted Living Manager / Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Location: Pikesville, MD Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (36 hours/week) Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and multi-talented Assisted Living Manager who also holds a valid Medication Technician certification. In this dual role, you will oversee the daily operations and regulatory compliance of our residential assisted living home while directly participating in hands-on resident care. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a cozy, residential environment and is dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing home for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Management: Oversee daily operations, maintain compliance with state regulations, coordinate resident care plans, and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
• Medication Administration: Safely prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and state regulations. Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR).
• Direct Resident Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Meal Preparation: Plan and cook nutritious, delicious meals and snacks for residents, accommodating specific dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized living environment. Duties include laundry, tidying common areas, and ensuring resident rooms remain comfortable.
• Engagement: Encourage and facilitate daily recreational or social activities to promote resident well-being and cognitive health.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certifications:
  • Active Assisted Living Manager 80-Hour (ALM 80) certification required.
  • Valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) or Med Tech license required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Management Experience: Prior experience managing an assisted living facility or residential care home preferred.
• Skills: Strong cooking skills and ability to manage a household budget/pantry.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
• Attributes: Exceptional patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and a high level of reliability.
• Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check
