Job summary

The Mission at Agua Fria Senior Living Community is currently seeking Certified Caregivers and Med Techs to care for residents under the supervision of the Assisted Living Director. Full Time & PRN positions available across three shifts in Peoria, AZ.

Responsibilities include vital signs, ADLs, med reminders, dementia care, restorative nursing, and supporting resident rights and independence. Prior senior living experience and a high school diploma are valued.

Qualifications

• Requires to be a Certified Medication Aide in the State of Arizona.
• Previous experience in a Senior Living Comm a PLUS!!
• A High School diploma or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Takes and records vital signs.
• Measures and records height and weight; records fluid intake/output.
• Reports abnormal changes to supervisor.
• Assists with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Transfers, positions and turns residents.
• Provides skin care.
• Contributes to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care.
• Provides nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
• Cares for residents with dementia.
• Follows the schedule of resident needs set by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Promotes and protects resident rights and independence, reports abuse or neglect, avoids restraints where possible.

Full Time & PRN Caregivers & Med Techs - Now hiring for the following schedule:

• 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
• 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• 10:00 pm to 6:00 am

Responsibilities:

• Takes and records vital signs.
• Measures and records height and weight. Calculates and records fluid intake and output.
• Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
• Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Transfers, positions and turns residents.
• Provides skin care.
• Contributes to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care.
• Provides nursing rehabilitation /restorative nursing services.
• Cares for residents with dementia.
• Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Promotes and protects resident rights, assists residents to make informed decisions, treats residents with dignity and respect, protects resident’s personal belongings, reports suspected abuse or neglect, avoids the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards and supports independent expression, choice and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
