Job summary

Rancho Penasquitos Senior Living is seeking dedicated Caregivers and Med Techs to join our care team on a part-time or full-time basis. We offer competitive starting wages of $18.50 for Caregivers and $20.00 for Med Techs, with opportunities for growth and a supportive work environment.

You will provide daily living assistance, monitor health and safety, administer medications on schedule, document changes, and respond to alarms to promote resident independence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Caregiver.
• Must have AZ Certified Caregiver Certificate.
• 1-2 years of Med Tech experience if applying for Med Tech.
• CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; English literacy.
• TB screening, fingerprint card, and food handler's card.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Physically capable for caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and activities for residents per service plans.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and alarms to promote independence.
• Maintain accurate care records and safety checks; communicate status between shifts.
• Report changes in resident conditions promptly; follow safety protocols.
• Assist with activities of daily living and meal-related tasks.
• Ensure medication is administered on time.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond to requests from residents, family, and friends.

Job description

**We're looking for Caregivers & Med techs **( Part-Time/ Full-Time ) to join our Care Team!

Caregiver: $18.50

Med-Tech: $20.00

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement daily care and activities for residents based on service plans within legal and professional boundaries.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and community alarms, promoting resident independence and rapport.
• Maintain accurate care records, conduct safety checks, and communicate resident status effectively between shifts.
• Report changes in resident conditions promptly, follow safety protocols, and ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Address residents' behavioral and psychosocial needs while respecting their rights and promoting independence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed
• Ensure clients receive their medication on time
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Assist in meal preparation/presentation, serving to residents, and other dining related responsibilities, record and report changes in resident's eating habits to the supervisor.
• Record and report changes in resident's condition to the supervisor including but not limited to changes in resident's ability to perform activities of daily living, skin changes, bruising, etc.
• Daily follow up on bath schedules and vital signs (blood pressure, weight, and respiration, etc.)
• Immediately report all incidents or accident involving residents to the Resident
• Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Caregiver
• Must have AZ Certified Caregiver Certificate
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Med Tech (if interested in Med tech position)
• Possess or be able to obtain valid CPR certification.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to speak, read, and understand English.
• TB screening
• Food handler's card/certification
• Fingerprint Card

• Maintain a positive and compassionate attitude.
• Well-organized and reliable
• Able to do housework and cooking.
• Physical stamina is necessary to perform job duties.
