Job summary

Senior Helpers of Greater Chicago is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our award-winning team serving the Chicagoland area with flexible scheduling and meaningful in-home care.

Whether you are new or experienced, we provide training, support, and opportunities to grow, with pay ranging from $15 to $18 per hour and benefits after hours worked.

Qualifications

• Caregiver with a compassionate, professional, and dependable personality.
• Proven caregiving experience providing personal care, companionship, and support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients and families.
• Flexible and open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to assist with mobility, meal prep, medication reminders, and daily living activities.
• Physically fit and able to lift and assist clients safely.
• Clean background check and professional references required.
• TB test negative

Responsibilities

• Assisted clients with basic personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepared meals and assisted with feeding when necessary.
• Helped clients with mobility around the home and light exercises.
• Provided companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being.
• Assisted with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
• Reminded clients of daily routines, appointments, and personal care schedules.
• Monitored general health and reported any unusual changes in mood, behavior, or physical condition.
• Ran errands, shopped for groceries, or accompanied clients to social events and appointments.
• maintained a safe and comfortable environment for clients at all times

• With a negative Tuberculosis Test
