Job summary

Senior Helpers of Greater Chicago is seeking caring caregivers to join their in‑home care team serving the greater Chicagoland area. They offer a range of scheduling options, ongoing training, and opportunities for professional growth with a supportive staff environment.

Whether you are new to caregiving or experienced, you will be matched to assignments that fit your skills and availability, helping clients maintain independence and quality of life in their own homes.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, professional and dependable caregiver.
• Proven caregiving experience with personal care and companionship.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients and families.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to assist with mobility, meals, medication reminders and daily living tasks.
• Able to lift or transfer clients safely; clean background check and references; TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients to appointments.
• Monitor well‑being and communicate updates.
• Document care provided.

Qualifications

• Caregiver with a compassionate, professional, and dependable personality
• Proven caregiving experience providing personal care, companionship, and support to clients
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to build trust and maintain a positive relationship with clients and their families
• Flexible and open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transportation
• Ability to assist with mobility support, meal preparation, medication reminders, and other daily living activities
• Must be physically fit and able to lift, transfer, or assist clients safely
• Clean background check and professional references required
• With a negative Tuberculosis Test
