Job summary

Assisting Hands The Villages is a locally owned home care agency serving Sumter, Lake, and Marion counties. Our caregivers support clients in their homes with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship.

This position reports to the care manager and general manager. Requires at least 2 years of healthcare experience; CNA or HHA license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years healthcare industry experience.
• CNA or HHA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Mobility Assistance: transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Meal Preparation: plan and prepare nutritious meals per dietary needs.
• Medication Reminders: assist clients with reminders.
• Companionship: provide emotional support and engage in conversations.
• Light Housekeeping: maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Following the Client's Plan of Care: adhere to care plans and document care.
• Observing and Reporting: monitor conditions and report changes.
• Transportation: provide transport to appointments and outings.

Position Summary

Our Caregivers are the backbone of our business. Caregivers will be tasked to care for our clients based on their needs, they will be in client's homes assisting them with activities of daily living. Activities of daily living include but are not limited to personal care, transportation to appointments, light housekeeping, etc. This position reports to the care manager and general manager of Assisting Hands The Villages.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.

Mobility Assistance: Helping clients with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning.

Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.

Medication Reminders: Assisting clients with medication reminders.

Companionship: Providing emotional support, companionship, and engaging in meaningful conversations.

Light Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for the client.

Following the Client's Plan of Care: Adhering to individualized care plans and documenting provided care.

Observing and Reporting: Monitoring clients' conditions and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Transportation: Providing transportation to clients for appointments, errands, and other outings as needed.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years healthcare industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

CNA License &/or HHA License

Hourly Wage: $16.00 - $19.00 / hourly

Schedule: Dependent on Availability. Day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts available.
