Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking compassionate, adaptable in-home caregivers to support seniors with daily living activities in their own homes. Flexible 4- to 12-hour shifts are available, with part-time and full-time options, including varying schedules to meet client needs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and strong communication and listening skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver's license and up-to-date insurance.
• One year in-home caregiver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client.
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion.

Job Description

You will be responsible for an individual's safety and well-being to provide supportive non-clinical care. Schedules may vary from 4 hour shifts and beyond as we do care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, honest, in-home caregivers to provide the best care possible to seniors as well as others who need in home care.

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics

Compensation

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
