Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking reliable candidates to cover a variety of shifts with flexible scheduling. The caregiver role is crucial for clients who rely on daily assistance, including medication reminders, mobility support, personal care, and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Caregiver experience preferred but not required, paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist clients with mobility around the home and outdoors.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support clients with prescribed exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them on outings as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Report incidents to office and family members.
• Act quickly in emergencies and document days/hours on care sheets.

The caregiver's role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Assist clients withmobility aroundthe house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients completerecommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them whenthey shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’tcomplete on their own, including preparing meals
• Report any unusual incidents to office personnelandfamily members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Record days and hours on agency care sheets

Caregiver Requirements:

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required, we provide PAID training
• Willingness to adhere to health and safetystandards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cookingwith attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a goodbedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time managementand interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass drug test
• Able to pass background check
• Must have reliable transportation
