Job summary

Avamere at Moses Lake is seeking a caring part-time caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities and health monitoring. You will provide companionship, help with mobility, meals, and housekeeping while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

The role emphasizes empathy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to improve seniors’ quality of life, with weekend availability and varied shifts. Training and benefits are provided by Avamere as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver in memory care or assisted living preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents.
• Genuine desire to improve quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide mobility support and assist with transfers and use of mobility aids.
• Help with meal preparation and tray removal as needed.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment including housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor residents' health and report concerns to medical staff; track vitals as needed.
• Answer calls for assistance promptly and maintain confidentiality.

Type:Part-Time
Shift: Various schedule/shifts, Weekend availability needed
Wage: $18-$20/hr DOE

Location:Avamere at Moses Lake- 8425 Aspi Blvd. NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, includingassisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
