Job summary

Waneka Park is hiring a Caregiver to join a compassionate multidisciplinary health team. You will help residents with daily living activities, assist with transfers, and support their comfort and dignity under the guidance of the Health & Wellness Director.

The role emphasizes infection control, timely responses to calls, and collaboration to update care plans, with opportunities for mentorship and growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and dressing
• Support residents with stand-by assist transfers
• Provide quality personal hygiene care to residents
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance
• Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing supervisor
• Apply infection control principles consistently during all care activities
• Adapt to changing needs and responsibilities as required

Schedule: Wednesday/Thursday/Friday

6p-6am

About the Role:

As a Caregiver, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to positively impact our residents each day. Working closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and under the guidance of our Health & Wellness Director, you'll help ensure residents' comfort, dignity, and well-being while contributing to their overall care plan. You'll also serve as a positive representative of our facility's commitment to compassionate care.
