Job summary

Homes for Independent Living (HIL) in Sobieski, Wisconsin seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist 1-4 adult clients with behavioral, medical and physical disabilities in a residential home setting. You will support daily living, ensure safety, and help with activities while providing positive behavior redirection.

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare or with behavioral clients preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Consent to background check.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities as needed per care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assure the health, safety, and well-being of all clients.
• Administer positive behavioral redirection and encourage self-coping mechanisms.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed based on care plans.
• Assist with food preparation and cleaning as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, guardians, and staff.
• Complete daily logs and report inconsistencies.
