Life Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Rocky Mount, NC. This full-time 2nd shift role focuses on providing one-on-one client support, including daily living activities, meals, and community participation. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to promote safety and well-being.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid NC driver’s license; no prior experience is required. Equal opportunity employer with competitive pay and benefits.

Competenze

Mansioni

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care including dressing, bathing, and toileting.
• Support clients during meals and encourage family-style dining.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks and clothing care as needed.
• Aid in meal preparation and nutritional supplement administration.
• Ensure medication administration is performed accurately under supervision.
• Follow prescribed diets and use adaptive equipment as required.
• Record data, follow behavior plans, and participate in the care team.
• Transport clients using company vehicles and accompany them on outings.

Shift Details: Full Time 1on1 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
• NC Driver's License
• 21 years of age or older
• No experience required.
