Job summary

Starkey, Inc. in Wichita seeks Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with disabilities in group homes and day programs. You’ll provide personal care, support daily activities, and help residents reach their goals. Paid training and flexible 7-on/7-off schedules are offered.

First-year PTO, holidays, tuition assistance, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for CNA/CMA certification are part of the benefits. High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma, GED, or Work-Keys Bronze Certificate.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Must be available for 2-4 weeks of paid training, M-F 8:30am-5:00pm.
• OPTIONAL: ASL (American Sign Language) preferred, but NOT required.

• Teach, learn and interact with our persons served to help them reach their full potential.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and basic household duties.
• You may get to participate in interactive activities such as local sporting events, Botanica Gardens, Holiday Parties, etc.

Pay rates

Second Shift Weekday: $15.75 per hour/Second Shift Weekend: $16.75 per hour

Third Shift Weekday: $17.00 per hour/Third Shift Weekend:$18.00 per hour

Requirements for the Direct Support Professional role:
