Job summary

The Preserve in Mentor, Ohio is hiring compassionate caregivers to support residents with daily living and independence. You’ll provide hands-on care, assist with bathing, mobility, and daily activities while maintaining safety and dignity in a home-like setting.

We offer weekly pay, medical, dental & vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for growth. Full-time or part-time shifts available with competitive pay of $16.00–$18.85/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

What You’ll Do

As a Caregiver at The Preserve, you’ll provide hands-on support while helping residents maintain as much independence as possible.

You’ll:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living
• Follow individualized resident care plans
• Encourage independence, social interaction, and engagement
• Advocate for residents’ needs, preferences, and choices
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Support household needs including light cleaning, laundry, and meal-related tasks
• Report changes in resident condition or safety concerns to the appropriate team member

What We’re Looking For

Experience is great, but attitude, reliability, and compassion matter just as much.

Required:

• At least 18 years old
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to complete required documentation
• Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous senior living, healthcare, or caregiving experience
• Valid driver’s license
