Job summary

The Preserve in Mentor, OH is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide hands-on support and help residents maintain independence. This role covers both full-time and part-time shifts with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth.

You will assist with daily living tasks, follow care plans, and advocate for residents, while working in a close-knit team that values dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to communicate in English.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to complete required documentation accurately.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to residents while helping maintain independence.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transfers and daily living activities.
• Follow individualized resident care plans.
• Encourage independence, social interaction and engagement.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and choices.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable living environment.
• Support household tasks including light cleaning, laundry and meal-related duties.
