Job summary

Emerald Crest of Burnsville, a Cassia community, is looking for compassionate Caregivers (CNAs, HHAs or PCAs) to join our memory care team. You will assist residents with ADLs, promote dignity, and support independent living in a warm, home-like setting.

Shifts include Days, Evenings, and Nights with flexible part-time or full-time options. Wage range $20–$24.38/hour with $1/night differential; benefits available through Cassia.

Qualifications

• Needs to have at least 1 year of experience as a Caregiver (HHA, PCA, or CNA)
• Experience with medication passing is preferred
• We are willing to train the right candidate on medication administration
• A passion for geriatric care
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital
• Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors
• Excellent customer service skills
• Availability for both weekday and weekend coverage
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond to last-minute requests

Responsibilities

• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed; report changes to the RN.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties.

• Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
• Observe resident changes and report to supervisor.
• Assist with shampooing, showering/bathing, nail and foot care, and medication administration.

As a Caregiver, you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being.This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others.You will love being a part of our talented and passionate team where you will feel valued and appreciated whilededicated to making our residents feel right at home.

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Shifts Available (including every other weekend):

• Days 7:00am - 3:00pm (Part-Time or Full-Time)
• Evenings 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Part-Time or Full-Time)
• Nights 11:00pm to 7:00am (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Wage Range: $20 - $24.38 / hour pay range depending on experience

Shift Differential: Nights (NOC) $1.00 / hour

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Light housekeeping
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Caregiver Qualifications:

• Needs to have at least 1 year of experience as a Caregiver (Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Attendant (PCA), orCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA))
• Experience with medication passing is preferred.
