As a Caregiver at Meadowview of Johnston, you will join a team of professional caregivers and contribute to residents' lives.

Qualifications

• Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Attendant (PCA), or CMA experience is required.
• Med passing experience.
• A passion for geriatric care.
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
• Good customer service instincts when interacting with family and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, BP, weight, pulse and respiration; report changes to the nurse.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to the supervisor.
• Assist with personal care and medication administration as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

In this role, you will help residents in assisted living with daily living activities and will pass medications as prescribed. This is a great opportunity to grow your nursing aide experience. As a Caregiver at Meadowview of Johnston, you will join our team of professional caregivers to become an important part of our residents' lives. We are seeking people who are team players and who are also comfortable working independently.

Position Type:

Full-Time, benefits eligible position working a varying schedule including rotating weekends

Shift Available:

7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Location:

5555 Pioneer Parkway, Johnston, IA 50131

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Caregiver Qualifications:

• Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Attendant (PCA), or Certified Medication Aide (CMA)experience required.
• Med passing experience.
• Apassion for geriatric care.
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.

• Must be 18 years or older.
