Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Cedar Lake, IN is hiring Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, DSPs, and Home Care Assistants to provide compassionate non-medical in-home care for seniors and adults in Cedar Lake and surrounding communities.

Flexible PRN and Part-Time scheduling with all shifts available, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Paid orientation and ongoing training; work close to home; competitive hourly pay with 24/7 support from office staff.

Qualifications

• Caregivers with compassionate, dependable nature preferred.
• 2 years caregiving experience is preferred (Caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP or similar).
• Reliable transportation with valid license and insurance.
• Must pass a national background check; CPR and TB test preferred or willing to obtain.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with mobility, ambulation, and transfers.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders only; observe and report changes in client condition.
• Use mobile app for scheduling and documentation; follow safety procedures.
