Job summary

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West in Orinda, CA is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide for morning shifts, helping clients with daily living activities in their homes. You will provide essential support and companionship while promoting independence and comfort.

You will assist with ADLs, light housekeeping, mobility, and transportation, while following individualized care plans and reporting health changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience as home care aide, caregiver, CNA, or similar caregiving role preferred.
• Reliable AM shift availability on a consistent schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide references.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation during morning hours.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors.
• Administer medication reminders and follow individualized care plans.
• Transport or accompany clients to appointments or errands when required.
