Job summary

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is seeking a compassionate Caregiver CNA for a weekend shift in Orinda, CA. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 10pm, focusing on in-home care and client well-being.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, health monitoring, medication reminders, meals, companionship, and light housekeeping. California CNA certification and weekend availability are required; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California.
• Experience in home care or related setting preferred.
• Availability for weekend shifts (Sat & Sun, 2pm–10pm).
• Strong communication and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to pass background check and provide references.

About the Role:

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver CNA to join our team in Orinda, CA! This is a weekend position (Saturday & Sunday) from 2pm–10pm, perfect for a caring individual who wants to make a real difference in the lives of others. • Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor and document client health status and report changes to appropriate personnel
• Administer medication reminders and assist with daily medication routines
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe home environment

Requirements:

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
• Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or a related caregiving setting preferred
• Availability to work weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 2pm–10pm
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Ability to pass a background check and provide verifiable references
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
