Interim HealthCare of the Upstate in Westminster, SC is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / CNA to provide in-home care for a client who uses a walker and requires hands-on mobility support.

This role emphasizes empathy, dignity, and personal care, including bathing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with 1:1 client focus and safety-first caregiving. Competitive pay and ongoing education are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of caregiving experience (personal or professional) in home care.
• Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• CNA certification preferred, but not required.
• Comfort with mobility assistance, ambulation, and transfers.
• Strong communication and compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation and valid insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility within the home.
• Provide daily living assistance including bathing, grooming, and meal prep.
• Offer companionship and engage client in activities.
• Follow care plan and document changes; communicate with supervisors.
• Ensure safety and dignity during all care activities.

About This Client & Case:

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM


• Client: Larger adult male who uses a walker and requires hands-on assistance with mobility and daily activities


• Mobility & Safety: Assist with ambulation, transfers, and safely navigating the home using a walker


• Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)


• Daily Support: Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, and engagement in activities the client enjoys


• Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable and physically capable of providing hands-on mobility assistance to a larger individual

As a Caregiver / CNA, you’ll need:
