Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Augusta is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / CNA for an evening schedule in West Union, SC. You will provide hands-on care to a bedbound client, including personal care, bathing, and ADLs, while coordinating with family to ensure comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of caregiving experience (personal or professional) in a home care setting.
• Comfort and experience providing hands-on personal care for a bedbound client.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the assignment and provide hands-on assistance as needed.
• CNA certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sponge bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living for a bedbound client.
• Help the client get dressed and prepared for dialysis the following day.
• Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Work closely with the client's wife to provide hands-on care and support with evening routines.

About This Client & Case:

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Client: Bedbound adult male who requires hands-on assistance with personal care and daily activities
• Personal Care: Assist with sponge bathing, changing clothing as needed, dressing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Dialysis Preparation: Help the client get dressed and prepared the evening before his dialysis appointment the following day
• Light Housekeeping: Provide light housekeeping to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
• Caregiver Support: Work closely with the client's wife to provide hands-on care and support with his evening routine

As a Caregiver / CNA, you’ll need:

• Minimum 3 months of caregiving experience (personal or professional) in a home care setting

• Ability to safely assist with bathing, dressing, changing, and other personal care needs
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the assignment and provide hands‑on assistance as needed
• CNA certification preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
