Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver/CNA to assist clients with daily activities in their own homes around Crossville, IL. The role requires traveling to client homes, with flexible part- and full-time hours to fit YOUR schedule.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene, companionship, medication reminders, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and safety reporting. HS diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/SRNA/HHA or CNA program completion preferred.

Qualifications

• Caregiver with compassionate, one-on-one client care in home settings.
• Willingness to travel to client homes in Crossville, IL area.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Offer companionship and reminders for medications.
• Assist with mobility, transportation, meals, and light housekeeping.
• Support physical therapy exercises and monitor safety during activities.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, in-home caregiver/CNA to assist clients with their daily activities in the comfort of their own home. The position will require Caregivers traveling to and from the client(s) home in and around Crossville, IL

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating

• Companionship

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation

• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, errands, walks etc.)

• Plan and prepare meals

• Assist with physical therapy exercise

• Perform light housekeeping duties

• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

• Use common sense principals

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

• Timeliness and self-discipline

• Availability to meet client needs as requested

• Dependability

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends

• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred)

• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

• Supportive and compassionate

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Experience as a Caregiver (preferred)

• CNA/SRNA/HHA or completion of a CNA Program (preferred)

• Take pride in providing high quality care

• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)

$17.50 - $18.50 per Hour
