Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Richmond, VA seeks a Caregiver to join our team at the Richmond and Nelson Villages. You will provide personal care and daily living support to residents, helping with meals, hygiene, mobility and engagement in activities.

The role is casual and on an as-needed basis, requiring empathy, reliable communication, and availability for various shifts, including short notice opportunities.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient with residents.
• Experience in aged care or similar role desirable.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to be available for a variety of shifts, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with personal hygiene and daily care tasks.
• Support individuals with care plan activities and mobility.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Richmond and Neslon Villagesyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
