Job summary

A senior living community in San Jose, CA, is seeking a compassionate Senior Living Caregiver to provide individualized care to seniors. This role involves assisting with daily living activities and managing medication as permitted. Candidates must have current caregiver training or certification and a CNA license, or previous caregiving experience. The position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for advancement and a supportive work environment that values dignity and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily.

Our Caregivers

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.

• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.

• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

If you are someone with

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.

• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver

Physical Requirements

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
