Job summary

Right at Home is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our in-home care team serving seniors and disabled adults in North Central Indianapolis and surrounding counties. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, and quick shift bonuses help you balance work and life.

Caregivers provide personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility support within established care plans. Dependability, kindness, and good communication with clients and the office are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities to assist with activities of daily living.
• Assists with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Supports ambulation and mobility.
• Prepares meals according to instruction and dietary needs.
• Completes homemaking tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Engages clients with activities and schedule routines per plan of care.

Caregiver Essential Functions

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair)
• Ambulation
• Dressing
• Grooming
• Assists with feeding
• Engagement activities with client (puzzles, card games, conversation)
• Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Meal Preparation in accordance to instruction
• Performing homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.
