Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver Assistant to support resident care at our Portage, MI location. You will help residents with daily activities, meals, and social engagement, while adhering to individual care plans and maintaining dignity.

This is a day and evening shifts position with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to work with residents who have dementia, under the supervision of branch leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to complete Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course within six months of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve and provide care based on their care plans.
• Assist in activities of daily living, meals, and social engagement.
• Communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Knowledge of care for residents with dementia.
