Job summary

TheKey provides concierge-based in-home care to seniors across North America, empowering clients to age in place with dignity and independence. This role supports caregiver onboarding, training, recruitment, and field-related tasks to ensure a seamless experience for clients and families.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years in health care or elder care, strong communication, multitasking ability, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years in health care, elder care, social work, or related field.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Proficient computer skills and timely documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for caregivers and support resources.
  • Host remote onboarding sessions for new caregivers, ensuring paperwork and access are complete.
  • Host PCA training sessions on-site to improve completion rates.
  • Assist with caregiver recruiting activities including interviews and events.
  • Transport caregivers to client locations and training sessions as needed.
  • Deliver PPE and other supplies to caregivers in the field.
  • Help caregivers navigate company systems and connect them with benefits, payroll, HR.
  • Log caregiver questions and escalate trends to the Caregiver Manager.
  • Support caregiver engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Participate in field visits and in-person caregiver check-ins to support readiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understanding home care state regulations, and organizational policies and procedures
  • Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for caregivers, fostering a positive and supportive experience with TheKey and helping them navigate company resources and processes
  • Host remotely facilitated onboarding sessions for new caregivers, ensuring all required paperwork, system access, and introductory materials are completed
  • Host remotely facilitated PCA training sessions for caregivers on-site to improve completion rates
  • Assist with recruiting activities including walk-in interviews, on-site hiring events, job fair attendance, and grassroots marketing initiatives
  • Transport caregivers to and from client locations, training sessions, or other work-related destinations as needed
  • Deliver PPE and other supplies to caregivers in the field as requested
  • Assist caregivers in navigating company systems and direct them to the appropriate department for benefits, payroll, workers' compensation, or human resources inquiries
  • Log caregiver questions, concerns, and feedback and escalte trends or recurring issues to the Caregiver Manager for review
  • Support caregiver engagement and retention initiatives as directed by the Caregiver Manager
  • Participate in field visits and in-person caregiver check-ins as needed to support caregiver experience and readiness
  • Additional duties as assigned
Required Skills, Education and Certifications
  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • Previous experience as a caregiver, a plus
  • Two (2) years experience in health care, elder care, social work, or related industry
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure with changing priorities and stated deadlines, and effectively handle a heavy workload
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
  • Computer proficiency and ability to document timely and accurate notes in the system
  • Current driver's license and proof of insurance
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to drive for extended periods to transport caregivers and deliver supplies
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as personal computer, laptop, telephone, photocopy machine, etc.
