Insight-Living in Montana provides an opportunity for a compassionate Care Partner to assist Assisted Living residents with daily activities and companionship. The role focuses on emotional well-being, personal care, and safe dining assistance within a supportive community.

The Care Partner will document observations, adapt to changing resident needs, and collaborate with health staff to ensure a respectful, dignified living environment for residents in our care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship to Assisted Living residents to support emotional well-being
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility as outlined in each resident's care plan
  • Document changes in residents' health and maintain accurate records
  • Monitor dining, assist with meals, and verify resident identification before serving
  • Report incidents or safety concerns to Health Services Director and participate in post-incident huddles as requested
  • Maintain clean supply rooms and work areas and support Life Enrichment activities as needed

POSITION SUMMARYThe Care Partner(AL)assists Assisted Living residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provides companionship to ensure an inclusive living environment.RESPONSIBILITIESInclude but are not limited to the following:Provides companionship to residents of the Assisted Living facility to promote emotional well-being.Assists residents with ADLs tailored to the individual needs of each resident.Report all incidents/accidents/potential liabilities to Health Services Director and participate in required post incident shift huddles when requested. Monitors and reports any changes to residents’ health.Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship; assist Life Enrichment Director as needed.Assist with grooming before meals, serve meals while aiding with eating and drinking, and verify resident’s identification prior to serving. Monitor the dining room, as necessary.Maintain resident documentation, charting required information, including any resident changes. Add appropriate residents to Alert Charting.Assists with personal hygiene, mobility, toileting, meals, housekeeping, and medication as required per care plan.Complete all assigned duties, as directed by management or community leadership, adapting to changes in resident needs, staffing and working conditions, as necessary.Be aware of and report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Health Services Director or Administrator. Communicate complaints, suggestions, and concerns, as necessary.Keep supply room and work areas clean.Supervisory Responsibility: None.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience:Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in caregiving or health care settings preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Exceptional communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with residents and staff through both verbal and written means.Utilize electronic devices and software provided.Understanding of basic healthcare principles/practices, safety & infection control measures.Awareness of common health conditions associated with aging such as dementia, arthritis, and mobility issues.Understanding essential care procedures such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.Ability to provide physical assistance and support to residents with mobility challenges.Knowledge of nutritional requirements and hydration needs of the elderly.Skilled in noticing changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition and reporting to supervisory staff.Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documenting observations.Capability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations, with a pleasant demeanor.Ability to build trust and rapport with residents and their families.Problem-solving abilities to promptly address concerns or complaints, with the ability to quickly pivot from one task to the next.Maintain ongoing education and training, attending all departmental & in-staff services as required.
